**Day 1: Buenos Aires**
Private arrival transfer to your centrally located hotel.

**Day 2: Buenos Aires**
This morning enjoy a city tour including visits to colourful La Boca, the Plaza de Mayo where Evita spoke those now famous words ‘Don’t cry for me Argentina’ and the elegant and opulent opulent suburbs of Palermo and Recoleta. Here, you will visit the mausoleum of Evita Peron which is situated in the amazing cemetery ‘city’. In the evening enjoy a superb dinner and tango show.

**Day 3: Buenos Aires**
Spend the day at leisure enjoying the hotel and surrounding area. There are many optional activities that you may like to include such as shopping in the smart boutiques, an Estancia visit or perhaps a day trip to historic Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay, a ‘Parilla’ walking tour where you may enjoy the local Argentinian delicacies or a biking tour through the lesser known areas of Buenos Aires.

**Day 4: Buenos Aires > El Calafate**
Transfer to the airport for your flight to the south and on arrival in El Calafate, transfer to your hotel. El Calafate is a charming town situated on the southern shore of Lago Argentino, serving as the gateway to the Los Glaciares National Park, which has recently been designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

**Day 5: El Calafate > Perito Moreno Glacier > El Calafate **
Marvel at the beauty of Los Glaciares National Park today with a full day tour to spectacular Perito Moreno glacier. The park covers a staggering 8,500 square miles, half of which are covered by ice fields that connect over 45 major glaciers. While also featuring two of Argentina’s largest lakes and the beautiful Mount Fitzroy, Los Glaciers National Park provides an incomparable variety of alpine terrain.

View the Perito Moreno glacier from the land and also by boat to allow a closer view. This glacier is a 30km long river of ice that ‘calves’ impressively at its face which is almost 4km wide. Considered by many to be the most impressive and accessible glacier found outside of the polar regions, you cannot fail to be impressed.

**Day 6: El Calafate > Todo Glaciers > El Calafate**
Today enjoy a full day Rios de Hielo (Rivers of Ice) tour, sailing from Punta Bandera port along the northern arm of Argentino Lake to visit the Upsala Channel, the ‘iceberg barrier’ and the Upsala and Spegazzini glaciers.

Travel by road some 50km to Punta Banderas on the shores of Lago Argentino where you board a boat and sail along its northern arm to view the massive Upsala glacier before continuing on to admire the Spegazzini glacier, some 135m in height and hugely impressive. Afterwards you will sail through another channel of icebergs, before transferring ashore. After lunch (at your own expense) you will return to Punta Banderas and be dropped off at your hotel in El Calafate later in the afternoon.

**Day 7: El Calafate > Ushuaia **
Transfer to the airport and fly to Ushuaia where on arrival you will transfer to your hotel. Perched at the very end of the world, in the past Ushuaia has been an important centre for missionary activity, a penal colony and a base for the Argentine navy. It has grown significantly in size in recent decades as a base for hiking, winter sports and most especially the departure point of Antarctic cruises, but it still retains the quaint and isolated feel of a pioneer city.

**Day 8: Ushuaia **
Today enjoy a trip to Tierra del Fuego National Park. Created in 1960 and located just 12km west of Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego National Park includes a section of the Beagle Channel. The topography here is extremely rugged – a succession of craggy mountains, rivers and lakes.

Departing Ushuaia, you will notice the change in scenery as you drive past picturesque Patagonian lakes, lagoons and rivers that all empty into the famous Beagle Channel. Passing Mt Susana, you’ll arrive at the old prison, now the site of the Southern Fuegian Railway, also known as the End of the World Train. Board the train and travel to Macarena Waterfall Station, where you will learn about the indigenous Yamana People before continuing on through Tierra del Fuego National Park. Leaving the train, continue through beech forest towards Ensenada Bay, with views of the Redonda and Estorbo Islands as well as the snow-capped mountains of the Sampaio chain. Enjoy a walk along the shores of Roca Lake and the Lapataia River from which you can view the Condor Hills, a natural border with Chile. Return to Ushuaia where we strongly recommend you take time to explore the fascinating Maritime and Prison Museum.

**Day 9: Ushuaia **
Spend the day at leisure enjoying the hotel and surrounding area. You may like to add in an optional excursion to admire the Magellan and Gentoo penguins (seasonal from September to April) or perhaps a boat cruise on the Beagle Channel.

**Day 10: Ushuaia **
Transfer to the airport for departure. Should you wish to discover more of this region, we strongly recommend adding on an Australis Cruise from Ushuaia through to Punta Arenas in Chile.
