Tasmania
In Tasmania, there is space to breathe, as it’s well known for having the cleanest air in the world!
Because to its stunning beaches, mountainous coastline, distinctive wildlife, multiple national parks, World Heritage sites, and rich convict history Tasmania is one of Australia's must-visit destinations.
Launceston a riverside city in the north of Tasmania is the most populated city, followed by the capital of Hobart. Whilst these cities have their own allure of galleries, cafes, panoramic views, walking trails, sculpted gardens, colonial-era cottages, walking and cycling trails the real adventure starts when you get out of town.
Get yourself to the breath taking Wineglass Bay, the star of Tasmania's Freycinet National Park. There is also Port Arthur Historic Site, the most well-known convict colony in Tasmania. Alternately, visit the magnificent Cradle Mountain - Lake St. Clair National Park, home to the state's 10 tallest mountains and Australia's deepest lake. With any luck, you might run into Tasmanian devils, quolls, platypus, echidnas, wombats, and the incredibly curious black currawong.
Oh, and let's not forget Tasmanian cuisine! You can sample truffles, gelati, hazelnuts, olives, wine, whisky, honey, oysters, craft beer, salmon, cider, berries, pickled onions, kimchi, and chocolate on a Tasting Trail. Nom nom.
A trip to Tasmania wouldn’t be the same without giving some serious time to Mona. This is the quirky world-renowned art collection that is known for not taking itself too seriously. Refreshing in the art world.
