**Day 1: Halifax > Lunenburg**
Collect your rental car and drive south to Peggy’s Cove, a small village with houses built right into the granite rock. Continue to the lovingly restored Victorian era town of Lunenburg.
**Day 2: Lunenburg > Annapolis Royal**
Cross the peninsula and visit Kejimkujik National Park, renowned for its hiking trails, Mi’kmaq petroglyphs and wilderness lakes and rivers.
**Day 3: Annapolis Royal > Digby > Saint John > St Andrews**
Drive to Digby for the ferry crossing, then continue along the dramatically scenic Fundy Coastal Drive. Arrive in St Andrews, one of Canada’s most beautiful seaside resorts.
**Day 4: St. Andrews**
Explore historic sites, charming studios and galleries or go whale watching, sea kayaking or take a sailing trip.
St. Andrews is a national historic site of Canada, bearing many characteristics of a typical 18th century British colonial settlement, including the original grid layout with its market square, and the classical architecture.
**Day 5: St. Andrews > Saint John**
Head east to Saint John, world famous for its Reversing Falls Rapids – twice a day the powerful Fundy waters roar into the river, causing it to reverse direction.
Continue to Saint John, a port city that was settled by the British in the 1600s. Downtown is known for its colourful row houses. Above the city is Signal Hill with walking trails and the site of the first transatlantic wireless communication, Cabot Tower, which commemorates John Cabot’s discovery of Newfoundland
**Day 6: Saint John > Moncton**
Today’s drive showcases the dramatic coastline, natural wonders, and rich heritage of southern New Brunswick. Travel through Fundy Trail Parkway with over 20 lookouts and several waterfalls. Recommended visits include the Big Salmon River Interpretive Centre, Walton Glen Gorge, Fuller Falls, Long Beach, and Cranberry Brook.
In Alma, a recommended stop for fresh seafood and views of Shepody Bay precedes your visit to Hopewell Rocks, where the flowerpot sea stacks rise 12 to 21m from the ocean floor. At low tide, walk among them; at high tide, consider kayaking.
After visiting the rocks, continue toward Moncton. A recommended stop at Magnetic Hill offers a curious optical illusion where vehicles appear to roll uphill. Nearby, the Magnetic Hill Zoo and Magic Mountain Water Park offer additional family friendly attractions to round out the day.
**Day 7: Moncton > Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island**
Departing Moncton, make a stop at Magnetic Hill, where you can place your car in neutral and experience the optical illusion of rolling uphill. Continue to Shediac, famously known as the “Lobster Capital of the World,” where you can learn about the town’s rich fishing heritage and see the iconic World’s Largest Lobster sculpture.
From here, travel toward the impressive Confederation Bridge, the longest bridge in Canada, stretching 12.9 km across the Northumberland Strait. Enjoy sweeping views as you cross into Prince Edward Island, a scenic gateway to rolling farmland, red sand beaches, and charming coastal villages.
**Day 8: Charlottetown**
Free at leisure to explore historic Charlottetown, the birthplace of Canada’s confederation. You can explore local shops, restaurants and the Confederation Centre of the Arts. You can also visit the Gothic Revival St. Dunstan’s Basilica nearby.
**Day 9: Prince Edward Island**
Today is dedicated to Prince Edward Island. Spend the morning viewing the sandstone cliffs, beaches and reddish sand dunes of the national park before taking in the beautiful landscapes made famous by the popular “Anne of Green Gables” novel.
**Day 10: Charlottetown > Baddeck**
Depart on Route 1 for the ferry crossing to Nova Scotia. Visit Hector Heritage Quay on the way to Baddeck, a scenic village overlooking the beautiful Bras d’Or Lakes on Cape Breton Island.
**Day 11: Baddeck > Louisbourg > Baddeck**
Discover the Fortress of Louisbourg, a restoration of a French garrison town dating from the 1700s. Back in Baddeck, visit the museum dedicated to the life and inventions of Alexander Graham Bell.
**Day 12: Baddeck > Cabot Trail > Ingonish**
The Cabot Trail is one of the most spectacular drives in all of Canada. Follow the route clockwise, experiencing the distinct Acadian flavour of Cheticamp and the rocky splendour of Cape Breton’s northern shore.
**Day 13: Ingonish > Liscomb Mills**
Today take the Marine Drive Route, offering history and culture as well as unspoiled forest fauna, crystal clear lakes and streams, and tranquil bays and beaches.
**Day 14: Liscomb Mills > Halifax**
Leisurely drive back to Halifax and return your rental car where arrangements end.
