Vast stretches of untouched, unfenced wilderness and unrivalled game viewing is what makes the Okavango Delta one of Africa’s most exclusive destinations. This all-inclusive 6-night fly-in safari provides you with the opportunity to explore one of the world’s greatest natural phenomena, staying at a combination of andBeyond lodges and camps within the Okavango Delta.

Tented camps are designed to keep you close to nature, complete with all your luxury-comforts and the unique opportunity to feel as if you are part of your surrounds, but with a little more structure and support.

andBeyond Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp
Located on an exclusive 25,000-hectare wildlife concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve, the camp is known for its elegant tented accommodation, which boasts breathtaking views of both mature mopane woodlands and seasonally flooded grasslands. Just nine tented suites (including a family option) are set on raised wooden platforms under a canopy of towering ebony trees. Each spacious unit features a luxurious bed, an extended private veranda complete with a shaded sitting area, irresistible hanging daybed, and glorious Delta outlooks.

andBeyond Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp
With sweeping views opening up onto a seasonal lagoon, this light and airy camp enjoys luxurious solitude on its own Delta Island, within an exclusive 90,500-hectare wildlife concession. Just nine ensuite safari tents luxuriously combine canvas, soft drapes and bleached timber – you’ll love the romantic outdoor sala, private plunge pool, indoor bathtub and al fresco shower. The guest areas offer expansive views across the Delta while the inviting sitting area boasts a spacious reading section – perfect for afternoon relaxation. The elevated dining area extends onto a shady veranda which in turn leads onto an open-air boma where candlelit dinners are served beneath the stars.

Safari lodges allow you to keep the wilderness at arm’s length, but still feel be part of an immersive safari experience.

andBeyond Sandibe Under Canvas

Canvas walls open to birdsong and breeze and a veranda overlooks the plains. Lanterns glow at twilight. Each space feels like a quiet invitation to pause, notice, and belong. Whether overlooking the Sandibe grasslands you can expect canvas tents with natural tones, open-air views, and comforts designed to disappear into the landscape. You’ll find running water, Wi-Fi, soft beds and shaded verandas. Enjoy a range of experience from game drives and birdwatching, to photography and stargazing.

andBeyond Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge
Situated on a diverse, wildlife-rich, private concession, Sandibe has exclusive traversing rights over a vast 22,500 hectares of wildlife land bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. The inspired design of the lodge melts into the surrounding forest canopy of wild palms and gnarled fig trees. Stairs open onto the high ceilings of the copper-toned and glassless guest area overlooking the Delta. From this central dining area, the wooden deck stretches beyond the roof, while the upstairs bar and lounge extend along an elevated walkway to a viewing platform. While the main guest area is set within the forest, the twelve guest suites peep out from beneath its canopy. Raised above the papyrus-lined banks like golden weaver nests, each is a cocoon of privacy, with breathtaking views, a private plunge pool and cosy fireplace.

Magic of the Mountain Gorillas By World Journeys

Magic of the Mountain Gorillas By World Journeys

Explore Uganda’s mist-covered Bwindi Impenetrable Forest on the edge of Rift Valley, listed as a World Heritage Site due to its unique ecology and biological diversity. The forest is home to an estimated 400 mountain gorillas – approximately half of the world’s population – and also home to baboons, chimpanzees and many of the planet’s rarest birdlife.

Few animals have sparked the imagination of man as much as the gorilla, the largest of the living primates. Although strong and powerful, mountain gorillas are generally gentle and shy. Gorillas have strong attachments to members of their own group, which are led by the dominant male silverback. Most gorillas live in inaccessible regions in various dense forests in tropical Africa, and one subspecies, the mountain gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei), was not even known to science until 1902. The mountain gorilla has a robust build with long, muscular arms, a massive chest, and broad hands and feet. It is the hairiest race of gorillas; its long, thick black hair insulates it from the cold of living at high elevations.

Mountain gorillas have a slow rate of reproduction. This slow reproduction makes this species even more threatened. In a 40-50 year lifetime, a female might have only 2-6 living offspring. Females give birth for the first time at about age 10 and will have offspring every four years or more. A male reaches sexual maturity between 10 and 12 years. Able to conceive for only about three days each month, the female produces a single young and in rare cases twins.

Trekking through dense jungle to spend time with a family of mountain gorillas will be an incredible experience, creating memories for a lifetime.

Tanzania Migration By World Journeys

Tanzania Migration By World Journeys

Experience the Great Migration on a exhilarating Tanzania migration safari where you will see one of nature’s greatest spectacles. Every year over 1.5 million animals, mostly wildebeest but also zebra and Thompson’s gazelle, follow their instincts and move through the western corridor on their 1000 km journey to the fresh grazing of the Masai Mara. Predators pick off the weak, the laggardly and the young and crocodiles feast as the vast herd crosses the rivers but they continue their trek, as they have done since time immemorial.

Visit the spectacular Tarangire National Park where animals flock to the Tarangire River and the vast swamps. Then visit the Ngorongoro Crater, an extinct volcano that collapsed in on itself around 25 million years ago where the largest permanent concentration of African game is on display. The views from the top of the crater wall are absolutely breathtaking! The crater walls are forested but four-wheel-drive vehicles will take you down into this primeval paradise of woodland, lake, river, swamp and plain that shelters around 20,000 animals. Many of these are the large grazing animals such as wildebeest, buffalo, gazelle and zebra who depend on the open grasslands in the crater. These attract the attendant predators, the black-maned lion, the leopard and hyena.

Finish your safari with a visit to the Serengeti National Park, the southern end of the Great Migration. This is one of the earth’s great sights – but it is by no means all the Serengeti has to offer. The vast, flat central plains, are places of huge skies, of shimmering heat hazes, yet also of delicate wild flowers blooming after the rains. The savannah, sprinkled with Acacia Tortilis, has majestic termite mounds and rock formations called kopjes which make great vantage points for predators. The lion are abundant, the leopard are plentiful (yet still secretive) and black rhino and cheetah both breed here. Ndutu, in the south, has small lakes where you may see hippo and water birds. Perhaps one of the best ways to see the Serengeti is a hot air balloon ride when, in the cool of the early morning, you may admire the grandeur, the vastness and the stunning landscape.

Designed to offer a true ‘back to nature’ experience, the camps place emphasis on the experiential aspect of safaris, taking guests back to the roots – to touch, to smell, to feel and to experience the wild with one’s feet firmly in the dust that covers Africa. You will have your own professional and experienced safari guide who will enhance your enjoyment of this unique country by making it a fascinating and stress-free journey of discovery amidst very dramatic scenery.

Namibia is a vast country, even by African standards, covering an area approximately four times the size of the United Kingdom or twice the size of California, but with a population of a mere 2 million – the second lowest densities in the world giving an amazingly ‘soulful’ feeling of peace and solitude. It is also an ‘ageless land’, visible through our heritage of rock art created by stone-age artists and geological attractions such as the petrified forest where fossilised tree trunks have lain for over 280 million years. Added to the space and silence, these contribute to a feeling of antiquity, tranquility, and wilderness.

**Optional Pre-extension**
You have the option to extend your safari for an additional pre night or two at Okonjima Bush Camp in the Okonjima Nature Reserve.
