**Day 1: San Jose**
On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in charming San Jose.

**Day 2: San Jose > Tortuguero National Park**
Early transfer from San Jose via the verdant Braulio Carrilo National Park to the tropical Caribbean coast – Tortuguero National Park -, approximately 2.5 hour journey. You will drive through Braulio Carrilo National Park, a flora and fauna sanctuary covered by lush green vegetation. After breakfast on the way, you will continue your journey to the dock area before embarking on a 1.5 hour to 2 hour boat transfer you to your lodge.

Cruise jungle fringed canals admiring the amazing flora, fauna and colourful birds on the way to your comfortable lodge which is only accessible by water. In the afternoon learn about the lifestyle and culture of the local people and also hear about the turtles that come to nest between July and September.

**Day 3: Tortuguero National Park**
During this day and depending on the weather conditions, you can enjoy a guided hike through the jungle where you will learn how the different animals, insects and birds interact with forest. Marvel at the very rich bird, reptiles and mammal life which abounds in this area.

**Day 4: Tortuguero National Park > Arenal Volcano**
Take a 1.5 to 2 hour boat transfer followed by a 3.5 hour drive through beautiful scenery and rich agricultural countryside to the Arenal Volcano. En route, experience different towns and villages and the beautiful scenery where you will have the opportunity according with the season to observe the crops of pineapple, bananas and sugar cane. On arrival, the mighty Arenal Volcano will welcome you with its impressive perfect conic shape.

**Day 5: Arenal Volcano**
Morning at leisure. You can enjoy a variety of optional tour choices; from hiking, canopy walks or boat rides.

During the evening, you will visit the Hot Springs. These natural hot springs features a hot river that flows through a series of pools.

**Day 6: Arenal Volcano > Monteverde Cloud Forest**
Tranfer by boat to the Monteverde Cloud Forest. You will be crossing the Arenal Lake, which is the largest and the most important lake in the country. Then, enjoy a scenic 3 to 3.5 hour drive ascending through the Tilarán Mountain Range before arriving in Monteverde.

Monteverde is a great destination to experience the culture and traditions of Costa Rica. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to visit a family business and learn about life in a local farm.

**Day 7: Monteverde Cloud Forest**
Enjoy the day at leisure. You can join Trapiche tour, joing short hikes or learn about local projects and find beautiful handmade items.

**Day 8: Monteverde Cloud Forest > San Jose**
Today you will enjoy a 3 hour scenic drive through mountains and valleys as you transfer back to San Jose where you will overnight.

**Day 9: San Jose**
Transfer to the airport where arrangements end.
