**Day 1: Zurich > Lucerne**
On arrival in Zurich embark on your first rail journey to Lucerne (approx. 1.5 hours), and check into your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Lucerne ranks amongst the world’s prettiest cities and is rich in sights and attractions. Contributing to Lucerne’s cityscape alongside the world-famous Chapel Bridge and Water Tower are the Musegg Wall, the Jesuit Church, the Spreuer Bridge, the Lion Monument, the KKL Culture & Convention Centre and a host of other sites of interest.

**Day 2: Lucerne > Mt Pilatus > Lucerne**
Today enjoy a scenic cruise on beautiful Lake Lucerne, and take the steepest cogwheel railway in the world from Alpnachstad to the summit of Mt Pilatus, with breathtaking views over the lake and the Swiss Alps. At the summit the Dragon and flower trails are just some of the paths to explore, ranging from easy walks to alpine hikes. Return to Lucerne.

**Day 3: Lucerne > Lauterbrunnen > Wengen**
Today travel aboard the Luzern-Interlaken Express to enjoy spectacular mountain scenery as the train climbs up to the Brünig Pass then descends to Interlaken where you change trains to head for Lauterbrunnen. The Lauterbrunnen Valley is one of the most impressive in the Alps. Set between gigantic rock faces and mountain peaks, the valley features 72 waterfalls, colourful alpine meadows and picturesque mountain inns.

Visit the Trümmelbach Waterfalls, the only accessible glacial-waterfalls inside a mountain. Explore the paths, tunnels and platforms to witness this incredible phenomenon.

Continue to Wengen, a car-free holiday resort set on a sheltered, sun-soaked terrace 1,275 metres above the Lauterbrunnen Valley. The fantastic surrounding scenery is dominated by the dramatic Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau massif. Check in to your hotel on arrival in Wengen.

**Day 4: Wengen > Jungfraujoch > Wengen**
Another spectacular day awaits as you travel by train to the highest railway station in Europe at 3,454 metres – Jungfraujoch. Situated in a saddle between between the awe-inspiring mountains of Mönch and Jungfrau, you are truly in the heart of the Bernese Alps. Visit the glittering Ice Palace and the Sphinx Terraces with its breath-taking views of the Aletsch Glacier, the largest river of ice in Europe. Return to Wengen to overnight.

**Day 5: Wengen > Zermatt**
Today’s train journey takes you to Zermatt, changing trains en route in Lauterbrunnen, Interlaken, Spiez and Visp. Zermatt is another car-free resort, sitting at an altitude of 1,620 metres above sea level. This idyllic village in the Matter Valley nestles amongst fabulous scenery of mountains and glaciers and offers a fantastic panorama of 38 peaks. The most famous peak is that of Matterhorn, a natural pyramid also featured on the Toblerone chocolate. Zermatt offers a huge choice of culinary delights and a wide range of outdoor activities including skiing in the middle of summer and winter. On arrival in Zermatt transfer to your hotel.

**Day 6: Zermatt > Gornergrat > Zermatt**
A short walk from your hotel is the station for the train to Gornergrat, the focus of today’s sightseeing. Ride Europe’s highest cogwheel railway to the summit of the Gornergrat at 3,089 metres. At the summit is Europe’s highest-altitude hotel, the Kulmhotel Gornergrat, which is home to a restaurant, astronomical observatory and attractive shops. Entrance fees to the multi-media experience “Zooom the Matterhorn”, next to the hotel, are included. You may also opt to enjoy one of the many hiking trails, which have options for all levels of fitness. Return to Zermatt to overnight.

**Day 7: Zermatt > Zurich**
This morning travel by train to Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city and financial centre (approx. 3 hours). Discover Zurich’s dynamic blend of history and modern life on a culinary walking tour through the famous Bahnhofstrasse and charming Old Town. As you explore iconic landmarks like Lindenhof, Grossmünster, and St. Peter’s Church, experience the city’s rich gastronomic culture at inviting cafes and local eateries. Wander through historic neighbourhoods such as Neumarkt and Schipfe, where centuries-old traditions meet contemporary flavours. The tour concludes along the scenic river Limmat, offering a perfect taste of Zurich’s vibrant culinary and cultural scene. Enjoy your final night in Zurich.

**Day 8: Zurich**
Arrangements end today after your private transfer to Zurich Airport.
