**Day 1: Lisbon > Sintra**
On arrival in Lisbon you will be met and driven to Sintra, where you will overnight at your historic hotel which dates from 1764 and is the oldest on the Iberian peninsula. The rest of the day is free to explore this beautiful village at your own pace. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its nature and architecture, Sintra is filled with fairy tale palaces and lush vegetation.
**Day 2: Sintra > Cascais > Lisbon**
After breakfast, check out and depart on a full day private tour as you return to Lisbon. Start by discovering more of the highlights of charming Sintra including the unique Pena Palace. Then head to Cascais and Estoril along the Atlantic coast with its white sandy beaches and magnificent fortresses from the 17th century. After the tour you will be transferred to your hotel in Lisbon.
**Day 3: Lisbon**
This morning meet your guide for a walking tour of the historical centre of Portugal’s capital city, exploring its picturesque suburbs before visiting the 12th century Lisbon cathedral. Continue up the hill to the Castle of Sao Jorge with its stunning views of the city. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure.
**Day 4: Lisbon > Mafra > Lisbon**
Today’s full day tour takes you first to the little town of Mafra to visit the Convent and Royal Palace. Then travel further into the countryside to Quinta de Santana do Gradil (or similar), where you can enjoy a wine tasting on the estate’s vineyards. After your incredible day you will be transferred back to your hotel in Lisbon.
**Day 5: Lisbon > Porto**
After breakfast transfer to Lisbon train station from where you will travel by first class train to charming Porto (approximately 2h30min). On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
**Day 6: Porto**
Today enjoy a full day tour exploring Porto and its beautiful Baroque churches and monuments. Porto is a UNESCO World Heritage site with rich history. Visit the riverside quarter of Ribeira, with its narrow streets, typical houses and picturesque lifestyle, and vibrant restaurants and bars. Make a stop at the Church of Sao Francisco – an old gothic church known as “the cave of gold” in an astonishing exhibit of wealth and power.You will visit the Stock Exchange Palace and its incredible granite work and magnificent neo-Arabic influences.
Later, embark on a relaxing river cruise and learn more about the famous Porto wines produced in the Douro Valley – traditionally a sweet red-wine, often served with dessert and perfect for warmer temperatures. After your river cruise visit traditional wineries overlooking the river Douro. Finish your day with an incredible wine tasting experience before returning to your hotel.
**Day 7: Porto**
After your breakfast you will be transferred to the airport or train station, where your arrangements end.
