**Day 1: Helsinki**
On arrival at the airport in Helsinki you will be transferred to your hotel to check-in.

**Day 2: Helsinki**
This morning embark on a private guided tour of Helsinki. The capital of Finland, Helsinki is also known as the “Daughter of the Baltic Sea” or “White City of the North”. You will learn more about Finland, its culture, history, traditions and much more. You will see the Senate Square with the famous Cathedral, the Market Square, the orthodox Uspenski Cathedral, the Olympic Stadium, the Parliament, Finlandia Hall, the Sibelius Monument and the unique Temppeliaukio Church which is also known as ‘the Church in the Rock’ (subject to opening – entrance included). The afternoon is at leisure to explore further.

**Day 3: Helsinki > Kemi**

Take the train north to Kemi (approx. 7 hours). On arrival, make your own way to your hotel.

**Day 4: Kemi**
This morning go to the SnowCastle area to board today’s extraordinary cruise. Step aboard a legendary Icebreaker Sampo and dive into a once-in-a-lifetime experience! This truly unique cruise experience takes you onto the frozen sea, where you’ll walk on solid ice and float safely in icy water wearing a thermal survival suit. Enjoy a welcome drink and lunch onboard. Later return to your hotel for some time at leisure.

**Day 5: Kemi > Rovaniemi > Apukka Resort**
After a morning at leisure, go to the train station for your train to Rovaniemi, just over an hour away. On arrival, transfer to Apukka Resort for your three-night stay.

This afternoon embark on an extraordinary snowmobile safari, delving into the essence of Lappish outdoor life. Glide across the frozen lake to a secluded fishing haven, guided by an expert well-versed in Arctic fishing techniques. Learn the time-honored secrets acquired through years of experience, with the opportunity to catch fish such as the European perch. While you fish, your guide skillfully kindles a campfire, setting the stage for savoring a delectable snack by the fireside. Sip on complimentary coffee or tea, completing this immersive journey into the heart of Lapland’s winter charm. NB: This activity operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays only.

This evening brings an adventure into the heart of the Lappish wilderness aboard Apukka Resort’s famous Snowtrain carriage, exploring the magic of the Arctic night in all its hues. Walk with your guide to the Snowtrain and begin your journey through mysterious forests. You’ll not only enjoy the crackling campfire at a traditional hut, accompanied by light snacks and a hot drink, but you’ll also have the chance to explore your surroundings on foot. Watch as the moon silvers the trees and snowbanks, and listen to stories about the amazing Arctic. With a bit of luck, the northern lights might even make an appearance! NB: This tour operates in all weather conditions. When the skies are clear, the Northern Lights campsite offers optimal chances to see the Auroras. During cloudy weather, other aspects of the Arctic night are highlighted. Please note that the tour includes walking in winter conditions.

**Day 6: Apukka Resort**
Today enjoy a two-hour Apukka Reindeer Journey. When Lapland’s towering trees were young, people traditionally rode reindeer-pulled sleighs across these lands. Today, you can enjoy this unique Arctic mode of travel yourself. Embarking on a journey through a snowy forest on a reindeer-drawn sleigh allows you to connect with the Arctic like never before. Sit snugly and let the sounds of nature, the whispers of winter, soothe your soul as these legendary animals lead the way. Following the ride, unwind by an open fire, sipping a hot drink and immersing yourself in tales of reindeer husbandry. Gain a newfound appreciation for this ancient way of life, returning from this tour not only richer in experiences but also enriched in knowledge. This activity may take place in the morning or in the afternoon depending on numbers. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

**Day 7: Apukka Resort**
On the agenda today is a two-hour Apukka Husky Adventure. Ready to fulfill your mushing dreams? Let the huskies of Apukka take you on an unforgettable journey through the breathtaking Arctic landscapes. This 7-10 km safari is just what you’ve been waiting for! Huskies greet you with joyful barks, eager to dash through the snowy trails. You’ll have a chance to pet these lovable dogs, snap photos, and learn all about their Arctic lives. After receiving instructions from the seasoned mushers, it’s your time to take control of the husky team towing the sled. Born to run, huskies will take you on an adventure straight to the heart of Lapland! This activity may take place in the morning or in the afternoon depending on numbers. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

**Day 8: Apukka Resort > Rovaniemi**
After breakfast this morning transfer to Rovaniemi Airport for your onward travels.
