Indulge in Queenstown

Renowned as the ‘Adventure Capital of the World’, Queenstown has so many opportunities for you to discover the YOU you always wanted to be!

Let me take you on a journey, showcasing just some of the fabulous activities and attractions – each designed to satisfy the adrenaline junkie, the foodie, the explorer and the luxury seeker!

There is no better way to see all of Queenstown than by taking a quick trip to the top of the Remarkables Range.  I can highly recommend a Remarkables Scenic Helicopter flight - enjoy landing on the snow, absorb the breathtaking view and sip away on a glass or two of champagne.  It is truly magical.  Lots of photos to be had and the thrill of a Helicopter ride will surely get you smiling!

Queenstown absolutely spoils you for choice when it comes to great cuisine.  If you are feeling adventurous then you must try the classic degustation experience at Amisfield Bistro. My recommendation here is to call upon one of the amazing transfer companies such as Limousine Services Queenstown, so you don’t have to drive and you can enjoy the 5 courses with wine matched, make the most of this very special occasion. Top tip:  Make sure you book well in advance

During winter & spring if you are a skier then you are again spoilt for choice with the Remarkables and Coronet Peak ski fields located on either side of Queenstown and each only 20-40 minutes drive away.  If you have your own car my recommendation would be to leave it at the Hotel and catch one of the many transport options available to you.  Then you wont get caught in traffic and the transport provider will drop you right off at the base building so you wont have to shuffle to the start in your ski boots! For the non-skiers, the adventure of being on the mountain is not lost for you… at Coronet Peak you can take a very scenic gondola ride to the top of the chairlift and admire the view, and if up to it, take a short 15 minute walk up to the summit peak for breath-taking views right over the back of the ski field, simply stunning!  It is only $30 for the ride but a million dollar view!

Another experience not to miss is a tour of Queenstown with Nomad Safaris. They have a fleet of ATV and 4WD vehicles. For a treat, they also have a new edition of the Tesla which uses electricity from renewable sources.  They are perfect for exploring with their expanse of glass, their comfort and quiet running and of course, they have zero carbon footprint. In these vehicles, you can journey to the wine region (Gibbston Valley) or through the old mining town of Arrowtown or for more dramatic scenery, venture into Skippers Cannon. Talk to your local YOU Travel specialist who can create a tailored itinerary for you.

If you are seeking something a little more thrilling check out Oxbow Adventures.  They have three activities with Jet sprint boating, clay bird shooting and the best 4WD experience where a highly experienced driver will take you on a thrilling ride on a custom-built course to showcase the ability of their 4WD vehicle which was built by the New Zealand Off-Road Champion.

Whatever the adventure you seek … you can find it here in Queenstown!
