San Francisco is fantastic, whether it's a stopover location or a holiday destination in and of itself.

The laid-back atmosphere of the "City by the Bay" makes for a very appealing holiday destination. This Californian city also boasts both a breathtaking natural backdrop and a thriving cultural heart.

Be sure to visit the distinctive island of Alcatraz, also know as 'The Rock'. This tiny island just 2kms offshore from San Francisco was developed in the mid-19th century with facilities for a lighthouse, a military fortification, and a military prison. Now a tourist destinations with approx. 4,500 tourists visiting daily. 

You can also explore Fisherman's Wharf to see sea lions enjoying the sun and indulge in some of the area's best clam chowder. Take a ride on a cable car to get around the city's inclining, steep hills—a national historic landmark. Take a snapshot of the well-known "Painted Ladies" of the city. The famous Golden Gate Bridge can be cycled to the seashore Sausalito. In the largest Chinatown outside of Asia, take the opporuntity to savour delicious dumpling
