Day 1: Begin Your Journey
Departing from North Vancouver, journey along Horseshoe Bay and the breathtaking fjords of Howe Sound, where dramatic coastal scenery unfolds at every turn. Take in panoramic views of mountains and ocean as you begin your day, accompanied by a delicious breakfast served onboard.
Passing through Squamish, the landscape transforms as you leave the coastline behind and travel deeper into the majestic Coast Mountains en route to Whistler. Keep an eye out for The Chief, one of the region’s most iconic landmarks.
Arriving at Pemberton Station, you’ll have time to relax and explore Whistler, a world-renowned mountain resort. Wander through the vibrant village, discover its boutique shops and restaurants, or take in spectacular alpine views on the Peak-2-Peak Gondola.
Day 2: Whistler to Quesnel
Continue your journey north, following the Fraser River Valley through some of Western Canada’s most diverse and contrasting landscapes. Begin the day with breakfast and coffee as rugged terrain, rushing rivers and wide-open expanses come into view.
This historic rail route passes through gold rush country, once travelled by prospectors and home to Indigenous communities for thousands of years. Enjoy a gourmet three-course lunch onboard, accompanied by engaging stories from your hosts.
As the train climbs higher, the scenery becomes increasingly dramatic, with vast lakes and towering mountains stretching to the horizon. Arriving in Quesnel, you’ll be welcomed by its rustic charm — take time to explore and cross the historic Fraser River Footbridge.
Day 3: Quesnel to Jasper
Departing Quesnel, continue east through the untamed wilderness of Northern British Columbia as your journey into the Rockies unfolds. Pass serene lakes, cascading waterfalls and ever-changing mountain landscapes from the comfort of your seat.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and gourmet lunch onboard, inspired by the flavours of Western Canada, while learning about the railway’s fascinating history and the landmarks along the route.
As you approach Jasper National Park, keep watch for Mount Robson, the tallest peak in the Canadian Rockies.
Arriving in Jasper, your rail journey comes to an unforgettable close. Take time to explore this charming alpine town and experience all it has to offer, from relaxed dining to its spectacular surrounding wilderness.
