Your Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Port Douglas
Make your own way to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure to explore this resort town. Overnight accommodation is at Oaks Resort Port Douglas.
Day 2: Daintree Dreaming - Aboriginal Art and Culture
Embark on a unique insight into the Aboriginal Culture, their Dreamtime stories and how their history is shared through painting. Experience the natural beauty of the rainforest & discover an ancient culture in the World Heritage listed Daintree Rainforest with an experienced Aboriginal guide. Visit Janbal Gallery for a painting class with Aboriginal Artist, ‘Binna’ Swindley. Enjoy lunch at Mossman Gorge Centre, before a walk through the ancient rainforest of Mossman Gorge with our experienced Aboriginal driver-guide. Overnight accommodation is at Oaks Resort Port Douglas.
Day 3: Outer Barrier Reef Cruise from Port Douglas
Explore Agincourt Reef, at the very outer edge of the Barrier Reef. Here, special reefs known as ‘ribbons’ run parallel to the Continental Shelf. Adjacent to the Coral Sea trench, these ribbon reefs are recognised as the most pristine eco-systems in the reef’s environment. Clear water provides the best possible underwater visibility, encourages rich coral growth and supports spectacular marine life. Choose to dive, snorkel, or stay dry and explore the stunning reef from the comfort of a Quicksilver semi-sub, just one meter underwater. Watch the fish feeding from Quicksilver’s unique underwater viewing platform and underwater observatory. Morning and Afternoon tea on board is included. Overnight accommodation is at Oaks Resort Port Douglas.
Day 4: Depart Port Douglas
