Ascend to the formidable Sacsayhuaman Fortress, showcasing Inca military brilliance. Discover Kenko’s celestial significance and Puca-Pucara’s historical role as an Inca resting place.

**Day 8: Cuzco > La Paz**
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to La Paz. On arrival transfer to your hotel. Later, embark on a fascinating half-day tour through La Paz, recognized as one of the world’s seven wonder cities, nestled in a valley at the Andes’ foothills, at 3632 metres above sea level.

The journey unfolds through vibrant street markets teeming with exquisite handicrafts, intricate weavings, and intriguing items associated with witchcraft. Delve into the city’s colonial legacy with visits to historical landmarks including the San Francisco Church, the Gold Museum, and the iconic Murillo Square. Ascend to the “Mirador de Killi Killi” viewpoint, offering breathtaking panoramas. Encounter an outdoor replica of the Tiwanaku temple, delving into ancient history.

Head to the modern southern region of La Paz and venture to the awe-inspiring Valley of the Moon, where the intricate erosion has sculpted a clay mountain. Glide across the cityscape aboard the “Teleferico” cable car, treating yourself to an unparalleled vista of La Paz’s beauty. This comprehensive journey offers an unmissable opportunity to witness the city’s cultural richness, historical heritage, and natural marvels, providing an experience that is a must for everyone..

**Day 9: La Paz > Uyuni **
Today you will take a morning flight to the small town of Uyuni, the gateway to the largest salt flat in the world. Upon arrival, your adventure starts with a visit to the renowned Train Cemetery, housing remnants of steam locomotives from the 19th and 20th centuries.

Next, proceed to Colchani to witness local artisans using traditional methods for salt extraction. Enter the vast Uyuni Salt Flats, spanning over 12,000 km2 of pure salt. Explore the “Stairs to Heaven,” an intriguing salt staircase crafted by Bolivian artist Gaston Ugalde and capture picturesque moments. Witness the “Eyes of the Salt,” outlets for subterranean rivers with medicinal waters. Continue to Incahuasi Island, an isolated oasis with giant cactuses reaching up to 10 metres.
