**Day 1: Kilimanjaro > Tarangire National Park**
On your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, drive to Tarangire National Park. Arrive for lunch at your camp followed by afternoon game drive to explore this varied and wildlife-rich park. The large elephant herds in the drier months are a real highlight here, but the wildlife and birdlife are excellent year-round. Two nights at Oliver’s Camp, which occupies a prime position near Silale Swamp, a magnet for wildlife year-round.
**Day 2: Tarangire National Park**
After breakfast, set off this morning on a guided walking safari, learning to look for signs of wildlife nearby, from bird calls to tracks in the earth. You can approach smaller creatures such as warthogs, small antelope species and birdlife, all of which are less skittish when approached on foot compared to a vehicle. Return to camp for lunch and a rest during the heat of the day. After tea and cake, head out on a late-afternoon game drive, stopping for sundowner drinks in a scenic spot. The adventure continues with a night game drive, seeking out nocturnal species such as mongoose and nightjars, as well as predators such as lions on the move. Return to camp for a late dinner.
**Day 3: Tarangire National Park > Ngorongoro region**
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Highlands through coffee plantations towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Arrive in time for lunch at your camp followed by afternoon at leisure. If you feel like stretching your legs, you can opt for a guided walk from the camp up to the rim of Olmoti Crater, passing through dense forest and waterfalls on the way.
Stay two nights at The Highlands, a unique lodge located on the edge of Olmoti Crater! The Highlands offers spectacular walks, authentic Maasai community visits, as well as game drives in the famous Ngorongoro Crater. A very stylish retreat in this wild landscape.
**Day 4: Ngorongoro region**
Today you will be taken on a full day safari excursion in the nearly 3-million year-old intact caldera known as the Ngorongoro Crater. This Natural Wonder of the World is home to the highest density of big game wildlife in Africa grazing and living on the fertile land with the most stunning backdrop of the crater walls – looking out for lion, leopard, black rhino, elephant, buffalo, zebra and wildebeest.
**Day 5: Ngorongoro region > Serengeti National Park**
After breakfast, transfer to Lake Manyara Airstrip for your morning scheduled flight to Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your lodge. The Serengeti is impressive in terms of both the diversity and density of wildlife found here, so there is plenty to discover each day.
Spend two nights at Namiri Plains Camp, a stylish tented camp with prime access to the eastern Serengeti, previously closed off to tourism for big-cat research for more than 20 years. Wildlife sightings here are exceptional, particularly of cheetah, lion and leopard, and guests explore the open plains, plateau and acacia woodland on game drives and walks with expert guides.
**Day 6: Serengeti National Park**
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, accompanied by expert guides searching for some of the resident cats but also many other species including giraffe, hippo, wildebeest, buffalo and plentiful birdlife.
**Day 7: Serengeti National Park > Ruaha National Park**
After breakfast, transfer to the nearest airstrip for your scheduled flight to Ruaha. Your guide will meet you and en route to camp enjoy a game drive through this very different park. Spend your last two nights at Jabali Ridge.
This beautiful retreat is built in and around the boulders and overlooks a baobab forest. The main areas include an infinity pool, spa and plenty of decks, seating areas and dining locations, meaning time spent in camp is as enjoyable as being on safari activities.
**Day 8: Ruaha National Park**
Morning walking safari taking in the sounds of bird calls, looking for tracks and signs in the earth, and encountering smaller creatures. Return to the camp to rest and relax, enjoying lunch and some pool time before an afternoon game drive to explore further afield.
Ruaha’s varied terrain is home to a wide variety of wildlife including large herds of buffalo, hippo, more unusual antelope species such as sable and lesser kudu, and – if you are really lucky – wild dog, which roam huge distances each day in search of their next meal, making sightings impossible to predict.
**Day 9: Ruaha National Park > Dar es Salaam**
After breakfast at camp before a late morning flight to Dar es Salaam, where arrangements conclude.
